Lightning McQueen & Mater

If you haven't noticed, I have slowed down a lot this summer.  And this is why:

I love the time I get to spend with him in the summer…yes, we have our bad & frustrating days…but nothing beats him and all the joy he brings.  He has always been on a "Cars" kick (sometimes we switch between Cars & the more recent hit Planes).  This Lightning McQueen, though, has been through the ringer…and then back!

We have lost him a few times and I thought that was the end of it, but nope…he always seems to come back.  Mater also has had his fair share of "playtime"….he no longer has a tow hook..:).

I absolutely love playing with this kid.  And I love that I get to photograph him playing in his day to day things.  :)

The Shirkeys {Forney Family Photographer}

My third family of 7 people in a row….and this one was crazy easy.  They actually beat me to the photo shoot and every single shot I got everyone was looking and smiling (except maybe the dog a few times).  It was so easy it went from a full session to a mini session no problem.  It was amazing!  This hot mama and I grew up together and have remained friends over the years.  I don't know how she does it with 5 kids, but I guarantee with her as their mom they have a lot of fun!
